Assalamualaikum, hi!!
Ya girl’s back, happy 2018!
So as a first write-up of 2018, I would like to share with you all my
current skincare routine; morning and night. I’ve been sticking with this
routine using the same products for about 4-5 months now and it works alright
–ha, alright... it works better than my past routines and I’m not thinking of
changing it anytime soon. I can see improvements though!! This will be a long post, so if you’re lazy... just
read the names of the products I’m using HAHHA. Okay, let’s start!
Skin type: Combination Skin (Oily-Dry)
Skin concerns:
Occasional break-outs
Mainly blackheads and whiteheads on nose and
jawline
Uneven and bumpy skin complexion
Enlarged pores
Here’s a short-cut!
MORNING:
Products Mentioned:
Cleanser: COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Toner: LipHop k:skin Bright & Glow Softie Facial Water Lotion
Serum: Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance & Smooth Pores Whitening Serum Cream
Moisturiser: Philosophy Renewed Hope In a Jar SPF 25
Lip Balm: LipHop k:lips Honey Moist Royal Jelly Lip Balm
-MORNING TIME-
Cleanser:
COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Thoughts: This is my third time purchasing this because I love how
gentle it is, it doesn’t strip off my skin and what’s important is that it
doesn’t irritate at all! This is a gel-based cleanser which works well with
oily skin. So I just wet my face with water and apply a decent size amount of
cleanser, rubrubrub working on that bubbles. This won’t give u a giant blob of
bubbles though (if you are searching for that, foam cleansers are to go!) //
REMEMBER to not aggressively wash your face as that increases the chance of
enlarged pores, you don’t want to introduce other problems to deal with!!
Lightly massage your face in circular motion, starting from your cheeks and
nose working out to your forehead and chin, oh don't leave your jaw too!
Toner:
LipHop k:skin Bright & Glow Softie Facial Water Lotion
Thoughts: First of all, I wanna thank LipHop for producing products that
suits my skin! HAHA. Out of all face mask brands that I’ve tried, LipHop’s my
favourite! I just can’t stop buying them because they are so worth it; worth
for my skin! Especially their Vitamin masks, OMG I can’t stress enough how good
they are. Oh my Fai, I better not start a new topic. Toner, yes toner! HAHAHA.
The reason why I wanted to try out this toner is that LipHop has such
amazing formulae that hydrate your skin and it makes your skin feel so soft and
plump. I’ve chosen their Bright & Glow because around end-year of ‘17, I
felt like my skin looked so dull and...dead LOL. Currently, I’m halfway through
the bottle and I love it so far! Honestly, you won’t technically see the difference
immediately though, my skin hasn’t reached the “Bright & Glow”
stage yet LMAO xD but what’s important is that, it does a good job on preparing
your skin for your next facial step! It shows on your cotton rounds! :D
(ladies, you will understand what I mean!)
Previously, I’ve tried out COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment
Toner which works pretty okay, cause I was focusing on my blackheads
& whiteheads.
Day Serum:
Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance & Smooth Pores Whitening Serum
Cream
Thoughts: Also my favourite, hooked. If y’all read my Garnier Sakura
White post, you will know I trust this so much to get a fairer skin (at least a
tone fairer), I have not stopped using them until now, which proves that it is
a trust-worthy product. And oh this serum cream gives you a matte finish too!
But um…
I STILL CAN’T FIND THE MOISTURISER I USED BEFORE,
ANYWHERE.
PAGING GARNIER, where has it gone? D; I think they have a new packaging
or new formula or….honestly idk but as I said on my previous post, I had a
love-hate relationship with it, and the new ones doesn’t give me the same
impression as the old one so I just moved on from it and find alternatives.
Yep? Yep!
If you missed my Garnier Sakura White post, here
you go! :D
Day Moisturiser:
Philosophy Renewed Hope In a Jar SPF 25
Thoughts: SIS, y’all better sit down because THIS GIVES ME SO MANY
EMOTIONS, financially HAHAHAHAHA. I can’t believe I spent almost RM200 FOR THIS
ONE JAR LMAO. Probably the priciest product I’ve bought so far. Okay breathe.
Well, this moisturiser is formulated for normal and combination skin
which... sounds promising for me, right? I bought this on December ‘17 (..i
think) because I desperately needed a good moisturiser, in order to replace my
Garnier Sakura White so I thought why not go all out, yeap, ALL OUT, literally.
I went to Sephora and just browse through, but I can’t find any moisturiser
like um sis, your girl’s lost HAHA.
My attention lead to this because I saw in the same isle and rack - Purity
Made Simple Cleanser, which has good reviews and I’ve seen a lot of
beauty gurus used this. But I wasn’t there for a cleanser, I was there for a
moisturiser. I would love to give it a try though! Anywho, this moisturiser
also gave me love-hate feeling. When I first used this, I was taken aback on
how thick the consistency is and I was so concerned that it would make my face
feel so much greasier but hey so far I don’t reallyreally hate it, lmao. It is
a very sophisticated product I must say, but you know, considering of the
price, I just went with it :’) and I think I will continue using this ‘till
finish and let’s just hope that by time, my first impression will have a 360
turn and hope that this is worth my money! xD
Lip Balm:
LipHop k:lips Honey Moist Royal Jelly Lip Balm
Thoughts: I TOLD YOU, your sis loves her LipHop products! This does not
need a long description; it’s one of my favourite lipbalm, fullstop!
Okay, I think that’s it for my morning routine. I do have other products
that I sometimes include in my mornings but it’s not THE routine, if you
get what I mean haha. So far, the results aren’t bad, like I still can work
with it and will still stick to this.
I had a split decision on whether to merge my morning and night routine
in one post but it would be too much, for some of you all. So, I think I’ll
just end this here and we’ll meet on my Night Routine post yeah? :D
Love, NFS.
