As much as you want to go to bed after a long day, especially when you have a face full of make-up, it is VERY important to remove them off, wash your face SUPER clean. Why is it important to have a proper makeup removal and cleansing?
  •  It washes away cosmetics, impurities and dirt from the surface of your skin, which could lead to irritation or cause your skin to age more rapidly.
  •       It reduces the risk of developing pimples, redness, blackheads and other types of blemishes.
  •      It promotes cellular renewal by eliminating dead skin.
  •      It stimulates skin’s microcirculation due to the massage action.
  •      It lets your skin breathe.

Not an expert that’s why I did a few research, why not? Hehe, but I do know that if you don’t wash your face properly, you are most likely to have break-outs.

Moving on to the actual purpose of this blogpost:

So, I’ve been trying out different kind of makeup removers and i found this the other day. Bought this at Guardian for a 10% off, if I’m not mistaken, price was I think BND$6.88 for a 165ml bottle.

Was actually torn between choosing this or the Silkygirl Pure fresh All-In-One Gel Makeup Remover, both of them had the same price. But I decided to pick the lotion type because I have an oily face; well that’s what the person said, the one who recommended me this.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
“A mild and gentle lotion that effectively removes all traces of makeup for face, eyes and lips. Formulated with moisturizing properties for sensitive and dehydrated skin.”

DIRECTION
Apply the lotion gently all over your face, eyes and lips. Then wipe off with a cotton pad. Rinse with water.

It has a milky runny kind of consistency, quite a heavy product for me to smear it all over my face. It smells good though! It has Vitamin E, Aloe Vera Extract and Chamomile Extract.(excuse my hairy hand xD)

So, I did a few tests to prove whether this product really works:
I don’t use a lot of makeup that’s why I don’t really have a lot to try on, hahahaha sorry.

FACE

1 – The Body Shop’s All-In-One BB Cream
2 – Silkygirl’s Skin Perfect Liquid Concealer
3 – Maybelline’s Clear Smooth All-In-One BB

After one time applying the lotion, the Body Shop's was completely removed (ref first picture) but not the rest. So I tried it once again (ref sec picture),swiped it with a cotton pad and finally its completely removed (ref third picture). I kind of scrubbed harder to get it off, and then I just wash it away. (my arm looks so weak on the 3rd one HAHAH)

Conclusion – It works okay for lightweight foundations or any face base creams but as for heavier coverage products for the face, hmm I think it needs more work to be remove, this lotion alone will not 100% remove it for first application.

EYES:
1 – FACE it Styling Eyeliner
2 – Naked 2’s Cool Black Waterproof Eyeliner

Hold up, I have no idea why the 2nd eyeliner didn’t swipe up nicely but let’s just ignore that HAHAHAHA.

Conclusion – Actually not bad, it does get off easily here but the other day when I tried to remove my eye make-up (I used a different kind of eyeliner; not the ones above), it actually didn’t remove well, my eyes were feeling this sting kind of sensation and it was very unpleasant. So for heavy waterproof mascaras or eyeliners, this lotion doesn’t really work well. But it does remove eyeshadows though. I think that’s all I can say for the eyes. HAHAHAH, I have nothing more to describe.

LIPS:

IMG_6108.JPG
P/S: Yes, my so called lip-gloss isn't actually glossy. I really apologize for any misunderstandings HAHAH. but it does say it is a lip-gloss on its package soooo xD

Here, I just gently rub it in and as you can see by just doing this, the lipbalm got removed but not the rest. Same as the face, I tried it once again and this time, I scrubbed harder to take it off, my skin was kind of red after all the scrubbing D: (you can’t really tell by the picture) but it does come off after washing it with water. YAY.

Side note: DO NOT scrub hard on your face, it’s bad for you!

Will I repurchase this?
Honestly, i don't know, maybe a no? Its just that it kind of gave my skin quite a sting feeling, and it did not do a good job of removing waterproof make-ups especially for eyes which I usually use. My face felt slightly irritated after but i think it's just my skin. Yes, this is not exactly harsh but i'm not a fan HAHAHAH. I will still use this though, once I'm finished with this whole bottle and then I'm going to give other product a try. ^^, .

RATE?
3 out of 5.

That's all for today's review, see you all on my next one~!

Assalamualaikum and have a very good day.

Lots of love, NFS. xoxo
