If you have been reading my post in quite some time now,
you must be familiar with this product, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser as I’ve
mentioned it at least twice in between on my beauty posts.
My short review on http://www.cetaphil.com/gentle-skin-cleanser
I have a combination of oily-dry skin type; tend to get
mild break-outs occasionally.
I've been so tired on searching the perfect cleanser for
my face, since I'm in my teen years, I get break-outs quite often and trust me,
I've tried a lot. Blemishes seem like something that I can't get rid of, but
ever since I started using Cetaphil, my skin has cleared up A LOT. Accompanying
with my face routine, this is a life-saver! I'm on my third bottle now and my
skin has never feel better as it is now.
Cetaphil?
A gentle – mild soap-free cleanser that soothes and
cleanses the skin, leaving it smooth and clean without irritation and it is suitable for all skin types. “It won’t strip skin of its natural protective oils or
emollients,” the website described. True! It did not do any harm on my skin (yet, and hopefully never),
supporting the fact that I’m on my third bottle now!
It is very gentle that it’s also safe to be used on baby’s
skin and for those who are rosacea-prone skin. It is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t
block pores. It leaves skin feeling moisturised.
How
I use it?
I wash my face with this morning and evening, daily.
Sometimes during midday. What’s great about this cleanser is that, it does not
leave my skin feel tight. I would wet my hand with water and rub gently on my
face, circular motions, massage my skin upwards around my cheeks, downwards on
my nose and horizontally on my forehead. Trust me, this helps to reduce
fine lines and something about aging. I saw a YouTuber did this once, and I’ve been following ever since!
As you can see here, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has a milk consistency. It gives no bubble, it has an equal amount of water and oil based in it.
How
is it so far?
First of all, I was an acne-prone for years, I would
have pimples everywhere, not to mention the ridiculous amount of white and blackheads I had. Ever
since I started using this, around December last year, 2015, my acne scars
slowly fade, not gone – just fade. I do not - have not reached to the point where I have a crystal clear skin, but at least it is WAY BETTER than before.
My Clinique toner gave a big role in this
process too! Missed my post about that? Click here to read!
Not forgetting my oily skin, my skin tends to be oily during
the day and dry at night. Odd? Or is it normal? HAHAHA. But ever since this, my
skin gradually gets more in control of its excessive production of oil.
Did
you know that we actually need the oils?
cr: owner |
Facial oils protect the skin by strengthening and
maintaining its lipid barrier, blocking external influences such as extreme
temperatures, over-cleansing, low humidity, sickness and travel. Strengthening
this lipid layer also accelerates the skin’s natural healing and repairing
process!

I would love to
try out facial oils to next time and see how it does on my skin. Expect
something guys, hahaha, well not anytime soon, that’s for sure.
Where
did I hear of this?
To be honest, I’ve been wanting to try this out for
years now, around 2 years, I’ve seen it in my drugstore and I kept telling
myself, “next time” “maybe soon” but I never really get the chance to grab it.
Not until I had the worst break-out last year, probably stressed because of my
big exam, HAHAHA, and trust me, Ive tried a LOT of facial cleansers before,
some are good but it didn’t last long, soon after the first bottle, I wouldn’t
consider to buy another bottle of the same product. Some, are just awful to my
skin, this developed my f ear on harsh cleansers – full-on chemical products.
Not until last year, I suddenly had the interest on doing research of
products and I’m loving the activity so far, something I do during my spare
time, until now! That is why I’ve decide to do reviews. HEHEHE.
GDiipa, (https://www.youtube.com/user/GDiipa) actually
gets me off my seat and seeing her skin, really pulled me closer onto this
Cetaphil. I mean, have you seen her skin? TO DIE FOR.
Thanks Diipa, much love! x
Personally,
Skin-care products > Make-ups
Speaking of make-ups, this cleanser actually removes
traces of light make-ups! But I really recommend to just using a proper make-up
remover to remove everything before cleansing.
I think I’ve made my comments clear enough, hands down
the best so far! I would love to use this consistently and hopefully in the
next 10 years, I will still have no problem with this one! Dear Cetaphil, don’t
stop producing this. Sincerely, me. xD
Product rate?
5 donuts out of 5.
Lots of love,
NFS. x
